Darwin, Northern Territory

Darwin is the capital city of the Northern Territory. It is Australia’s most northern city, with a tropical climate and a population of about 150,000. The sparsely populated Northern Territory holds some of Australia’s most spectacular ‘outback’ scenery. A 1.5 hour drive takes you to Lichfield Park with its monsoon rainforest, waterfalls and 5 meter high magnetic-termite mounds. Longer trips will take you to the vast, dramatically beautiful Kakadu National Park and the extraordinary Uluru near Alice Springs, in the very heart of the continent.
